SERGI TP offers an opportunity for a Development Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering who is willing to start a new career. This position will report to the Development Manager, and the main responsibilities will be to monitor multiple projects from analysis to project completion when the evolution is published. These projects can range from short to long term, depending on the complexity. This position includes not only the technical aspects, but also a strong interaction with the production department, the project department and the quality department to ensure that SERGI TP products are developed according to best practices and applicable standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product Improvement & Evolution
- Design, test and evaluate products, equipment and mechanical systems to meet specific requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
- Site visits in the field to assist with product testing and evaluation.
- Development of technical documentation and specifications for existing and new products.
- Drafting/design and product development, using CAD software.
- Improved team skills in product development.
- Answer technical questions about products.
- Creation of prototypes and product tests.
- Supplier follow-up.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Knowledge of American, European and international standards (ANSI, ASME, ISO, etc.)
- Knowledge of materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.)
- Knowledge of surface treatments (paints, anti-corrosion treatment, impregnation, etc.)
- Knowledge of the resistance of materials, sealing, pressure equipment.
- FMEA and risk analysis.
- Proficient use of SolidWorks, CSWE, or CSWP certification is preferred.
- Numerical simulations. (Mechanical simulations)
- Knowledge of engineering design principles and practices, e.g. e.g., interference checks, adjustments, stacking of tolerances/dimensional analysis, GD&T.
- Excellent proficiency in the tools needed to create documents, such as MS Word, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Visio, etc.
OPTIONAL/APPRECIATED SKILLS
- Substation and Substation Work Knowledge and Practices
- Electrotechnical, PLC and electrical experience
- Numerical simulations (CFDs, FSIs, etc.)
- Knowledge of American, European and international standards (ANSI, ASME, ISO, etc.)
- Create and Edit Charts for Procedure Artwork
- Understand the documented mechanical and electrical process at the level required to modify a procedure or instruction.
SKILLS

- Ability to write clear and concise procedures, instructions and manuals.
