SERGI is a French company founded by Électricité de France (EDF).
Early 1990s
New Research program
- Starting research investigations for avoiding transformer fires.
- Implementation of a solution to prevent transformer explosion and fire.
1995s
Protection by Prevention and Extinguishing System (NIFPES)
SERGI created the first Transformer Nitrogen Injection Fire Protection System (NIFPS) as an alternative to the water extinguishing system.
End 1990s
The PREVENTION market for transformer fires and explosions is created
- The breaking technology TRANSFORMER PROTECTORTM was invented.
- SERGI TP created the transformer explosion and fire prevention market.
